Why a Generated Address Should Never Be Used for Real Transactions

An address generator is a tool for developers, testers, designers and teachers. It creates addresses that look real so software and layouts can be tested properly. It is not a way to hide who you are when a real address is required.

Mail can reach a real person

The city, state and ZIP code we show are real. The street number and street name are random, but a random combination can still match an actual home. If you use a generated address for an order or subscription, a stranger could receive your package, or nothing may arrive at all.

Misrepresentation can be illegal

Giving false information on applications for credit, government benefits, insurance, banking or identity checks can break the law. Always use your own accurate address for anything financial, legal or official.

Privacy without deception

If you want privacy online, there are honest options: use a PO Box, a mail forwarding service or a business address you control. These give you a real, deliverable address without pointing to your home.
